The following support services are available in Gateshead:

1. A confidential free phone Helpline for those feeling low, anxious, stressed, in extreme emotional distress or those caring for another person finding it difficult to cope (see telephone number below).

2. Newcastle and Gateshead Supported Housing Service – supports people with mental health needs and are in need of a place to live, to move into temporary housing for up to two years and be supported whilst living there by a key-worker. The aim is to enable the person to develop the necessary skills to live independently in their own home in their community.
