Service description:Inspire Me is a project provided by Mencap which supports young people aged 14-25 with a learning disability to develop skills to live independent lives by improving their confidence, life skills and employability.
The project delivers workshops covering subjects like money management, preparing for work, confidence and healthy living. These workshops can form qualifications to enable young people to develop themselves further. Young people also have a chance to get involved in a Community Impact project which develops their skills in planning and goal-setting as well as doing something positive which has a lasting impact in their community. The Young Ambassadors project gives young people aged 16-25 the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of ways including campaigning, fundraising, assisting in delivering workshops or becoming a mentor.
