Northumberland College is a general further education college. There are eight centres throughout Northumberland from Berwick in the North to Hexham in the West. For students aged 16-18 years and 19 and over, a range of academic and vocational courses are available across various subject areas from entry level up to HNDs and Foundation Degrees, and also offers Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships.

The college’s Additional Learning Support (ALS) Team provides one to one support and supervision for students with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, physical disabilities, mental health difficulties or language support needs. Students are encouraged to inform the ALS Co-ordinator as soon as possible about any specific needs so that appropriate support can be provided.
