Service description:
The Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service provides information, advice, support and talking therapies for young people aged 16 or over in Gateshead who are feeling low in mood, anxious, worried, depressed or stressed. Some teams are able to work with young people on a wide range of issues such as trauma, bereavement and other emotional issues. The teams differ depending on locality but generally consist of psychological well being practitioners, primary care mental health workers and cognitive behaviour therapy therapists.
