Tyne Metropolitan College offers a wide range of full time vocational and apprenticeship courses for school leavers, part time courses for adults and higher education (HNC/HND degree level) courses at their Coast Road campus. Subject areas include art, design and creative industries, beauty therapy, catering, computing business and retail, engineering, floristry, hairdressing and health and social care.

The college’s Additional Learning Support (ALS) team provides support and services for learners with a wide range of learning support needs. They can support learners who have learning difficulties, physical disabilities or medical conditions, specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, are deaf or hard of hearing, are blind or partially sighted or have emotional, behavioural and/or mental health difficulties.
