Gateshead Council’s Voiceworks Project offers high quality work placements to young people aged 14-19 years who have an education health and care plan (EHCP), statement of SEN, learning or physical disability or autism and who live in Gateshead. Work placements are flexible, can last for various periods of time and are designed to meet the individual needs of the student. Students on placements are supported by named trained mentors in the workplace and workplace adjustments will be put in place where required. Transport to and from the work placement is also arranged. Referrals are accepted from social workers, educational and training providers and parents and carers
