Daslne is a database which aims to provides accurate information about the numbers of children with autism spectrum disorder living in the North East of England.
It was set up to inform planning future service provision. You can join Daslne to help in future planning, and to take part in high quality research projects. You can register on-line via the Daslne website: www.daslne.org All information is kept confidential and secure, and reports from Daslne will never identify individuals in any way.
By the end of 2013, there will be almost 1500 families living in the north-east whose child with ASD is registered with Daslne.
Daslne also acts as a source of information.
Parents, carers and professionals can gain access to a range of information factsheets on problem topics like sleep, eating, sensory issues, toilet training, personal hygiene, anxiety and temper via the website. Information about forthcoming events like National Autism Society events, parent and carer groups and Autism-friendly film screenings can also be found on the website and are e-mailed to families.
