Gingerbread is a national charity which provides expert advice and practical support for single parents. Advice topics include help with relationships, advice on starting work, meeting childcare needs, expert help with benefits and money advice.

Their FREE helpline (0808 802 0925) provides confidential support and advice from a team of friendly advisers who can talk through a range of issues with parents such as child maintenance, contact, employment, education, welfare benefits and tax credits, housing and debt and send out useful information. Interpreted call back is available for those with English as an additional language. The helpline is open as follows:

Mondays 10am-6pm
Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays 10am-4pm
Wednesdays 10am-1pm and 5pm-7pm
