WinG (Wayout in Gateshead) provides a variety of educational outdoor activities for youth and community groups from Gateshead and the surrounding areas. A wide selection of learning opportunities are available that incorporate adventurous activities. This can include rock climbing, canoeing, hill walking and map reading, camping, mountain biking, First Aid, outdoor photography and the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. Activities can be from ½ day to several days. Minibus transport and use of all necessary outdoor equipment is also available for use. This includes, walking boots, rucksacks, waterproof clothing, tents, sleeping bags and camping stoves. Some costs may be required.
