The Accessible Learning strand at the Sage Gateshead supports access to a wide range of music and musical learning opportunities for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Experienced tutors and talented musicians support participants in a relaxed, fun and friendly environment.

Activities include Sounds of Intent, which aims to investigate and promote the musical development of children and young people with learning difficulties using specialist software, one to one or group music therapy sessions with Nordoff Robbins trained music therapists, open access projects like singing groups, choirs and percussion and music making groups.
