| Service description: | : South Tyneside College is a general further education college, the main base being in Westoe, South Shields as well as a Motor Vehicle Centre in Jarrow and Marine Safety Training Centre near the River Tyne.
A range of full and part-time academic and vocational courses are available including NVQ, BTEC, A-Levels, Basic Skills, Literacy and Numeracy, IT, Motor Vehicle, cooking, hairdressing, gardening, bricklaying, woodwork and elderly care.
A Learning Support Team supports young people with additional needs by discussing their requirements and putting in place an individual support package.
