Childminder

Childminders look after children aged five year and under at any time and school aged children outside of school hours and during school holidays, usually at the childminder's home. You can use all or part of your child's free education entitlement with a childminder.

Out of School Clubs

After School Clubs take place after school until approximately 6pm. Some schools have their own clubs or some are run by a private provider. 

Day Nursery

Day Nurseries provide care and education for children from six weeks until school age on weekdays. They are usually open from early morning until early evening and vary in size. You can use part or all of your child's free education entitlement at a day nursery. 

Breakfast Club

A breakfast Club providers care and breakfast for school aged children, most often on the same site as your child's school.

Providers Offering Free Childcare for 2 year olds

Pre-schools

                                                                                               Pre-schools and playgroups provide care and education from children aged two to five years. Sessions are up to four hours. You can use your child's free education entitlement at a pre-school. 

Holiday Schemes

Holiday Schemes provide care for children aged three to 14 years. They take place at various venues, usually operating between the hours of 8am and 6pm during school holidays.
